About TECS (Toastmasters)

Become more confident in your conversations with others? The TECS Toastmasters club is here to help. Our club allows you to learn these skills at your own pace in a safe, welcoming, and fun environment with a diverse range of skill levels.

TECS (Toronto Engineering Club of Speakers) serves a diverse engineering community providing an opportunity to learn and develop leadership and formal communication skills, inspiration to develop innovative ideas, and a social and professional network, all in a structured program that is supportive, welcoming and entertaining. TECS Toastmasters was initiated in 2012 by the West Toronto Chapter of the Professional Engineers of Ontario to provide an opportunity for Professional Engineers, engineering students and others in the engineering community to develop their speaking and leadership skills.

The club has also hosted a number of events, including panel discussions, workshops, and contests aimed at increasing the skills and knowledge of club and chapter members. Look for them on our Past Events page.
